Bio

Dr. Tamsin Woolley-Barker is an evolutionary anthropologist, biomimicry pioneer, and the author of TEEMING, a bestseller in Organizational Learning, Environmental Economics, Ecology and Animal Behavior. Her company TEEM Innovation Group helps organizations apply evolutionary principles and patterns in order to adapt more effectively. She is also the Dean of Geoversity’s School of Biocultural Leadership in Panama and founder of the Borrego Institute for Living Design (the BILD) in the Anza Borrego Desert in San Diego County where she lives with her three children.

Dr. Tamsin’s efforts are all focused on the reality that all our endeavors are biological. Nothing makes sense except in light of evolution, yet pervasive Illiteracy in living processes reinforces our inability to adapt. Organizations are fundamentally misaligned with living processes, and mechanistic thinking is a life-threatening delusion. She therefore works to show how evolutionary thinking and design can help us radically rethink the systems, processes, and structures we live and work within, so we can rehumanize, revitalize, and regenerate our communities, organizations, and other living systems.
